Description

This Olympic-style weightlifting program has 3 phases, and this is the first phase. This phase begins to break down each lift into trainable components for the pull and catch, and then builds towards reconnecting these segments. This portion of the cycle is programmed for 3 weeks with 3 workouts a week. Each workout is approximately 30-40 minutes long, and you will need access to equipment consisting of a PVC pipe, barbell, bumper plates, and 8'x8' open space to practice.

Prior experience with the Snatch and Clean and Jerk is preferred, as this plan will place emphasis on developing good positions, speed, and technique for those lifts. We recommend completing the Olympic-Style Lifting Starter plan to become familiar with the relevant positions and movements.
