Join the Run Your First 5 km plan brought to you by The Run Experience! After following this plan you will feel lighter and quicker on your feet and have a deeper enjoyment of running. You may even be a little faster to boot! This plan breaks running down into 3 simple and effective workouts: a technique focused day, a speed development day, and a distance-building day. With daily video support we will be with you each step of the way, teaching you simple yet effective running drills, basic strength and mobility exercises, and finally what to focus on while out there! Nate Helming owns and operates Helming Athletics, an endurance coaching company for triathletes nation-wide preparing for Ironman, 70.3, Olympic, and sprint distance races. Nate also coaches runners for marathons and half marathons. Helming Athletics athletes finish their first races, conquer new distances, overcome pre-existing injuries, set new PRs, reach the podium, and qualify for national and world level events.

In San Francisco, Nate also coaches at San Francisco CrossFit, where he oversees a fast growing strength & conditioning program for endurance athletes, and regularly publishes articles and videos related to triathlon, running, and strength training. He also leads SFCF member classes, and individual sessions focusing on post-physical therapy recovery, olympic lifting, gymnastics, strength, mobility, and running technique.

Nate currently travels speaks on the weekends for his triATHLETE seminar, for Carl Paoli’s Freestyle Connections seminar, as well as for other events put on by USA Triathlon, Runners world, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Certifications: USA Triathlon I, CPR/First Aide, Cross Fit I, CrossFit Mobility, CrossFit Endurance, Carl Paoli’s Free Style connections.
